Lippy Collection Cruelty Free

One part of my makeup routine that I have been skipping out on is lippy… which in this current day is obvious to know why. However, as things are starting to open up and masks start to become the thing of the past (fingers crossed) I thought it might be time to reunite with the lip products I own. This collection doesn’t include the lip liners I own or lip balms but I’d be happy to do another post if you were interested to see those.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in Mauritius Dahlia – I really love this colour. It is a very dark red and has a hint of purple which isn’t showing up in the photos. It goes on smoothly, however it is a bit messy as you need to build the colour up and it takes awhile to dry – I wouldn’t wear this out without lining my lips first. The smell of it is okay – kind of a sweet smell. It leaves a little bit of pigment when it wears off – it kind of lasts as long as you don’t eat or drink anything.
The Body Shop is completely cruelty free and some products are also vegan.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker satin lipstick in Wine Not? – This lipstick smells absolutely delicious – just like chocolate! The colour is a dark brownish red and it goes on like butter! I love how the Soap & Glory logo is printed into the stick. It is very pigmented, buildable and lasts as long as you don’t eat or drink anything – it doesn’t dry but does leave a little bit of colour once its wearied off.
Soap and Glory claims to test their products on people and state “…At Soap & Glory, we absolutely do not test our formulations on animals, however we can’t say that each and every ingredient that goes into them has not, at some point historically, been cleared for human use, by animal testing.” I had brought these products a while ago under the influence that they were 100% cruelty free. However, due to the unclearness and that there is not leaping bunny logo on their packaging I will no longer buy from Soap & Glory until they can give more clarity.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker matte lipstick in Rougenie – Just like the other Soap & Glory lipstick this smells devein just like chocolate and goes on smooth. It is a very bright red with a hint of pink that isn’t showing up in the photos. It also has the Soap & Glory logo printed into the stick which just makes it feel a little more luxurious. It’s very pigmented and bold, and there is no need to build it up. Again just like the one above it does last as long as you don’t eat or drink anything, and it doesn’t dry but does leave some colour as it wears off.

Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream in Birthday Suit (best seller) – It is so pigmented and bold, dries within a minuet and is a beautiful blush pink. I think this one is actually my favourite out of the lot. It doesn’t smudge or fade when eating for drinking. It isn’t as smooth as my other lippies which I find pretty ironic seeing as it’s called “Ultra Smooth” but other than that it is brilliant, and I want to buy all of the other colours!
Sleek are a 100% cruelty free brand – however they do not have the leaping bunny logo on their packaging.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in Windsor Rose (four from the right) – I LOVE this colour and I think it is one of if not my favourite lippy I own. It is a beautiful buildable nudie pink. It takes a little while to dry and does last as long as you don’t eat or drink anything- however it doesn’t leave any pigment on your lips when you do so you won’t notice that it’s faded. The pigment is very good and it goes on very smoothly.
The Body Shop is completely cruelty free and some products are also vegan.

The Body Shop Shine Lip Liquid in Apple Taffy – I love the name Apple Taffy as I think it is so cute and fun. I also really love the colour of it which is pretty much just a nude. I’d say its a glossy version of Windsor Rose. It has an okay sweet smell and is a little bit sticky. It doesn’t dry or last but it does feel nice on the lips – I normally will pop it on when I don’t want any colour on my lips but want them to feel refreshed and hydrated with a little shine.
The Body Shop is completely cruelty free and some products are also vegan.

I can’t wait to start wearing lipsticks again! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
Toodle-pip!
